The former Florida mom, acquitted in 2011 of murder charges related to the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, has reemerged as a self-proclaimed legal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, women like herself, and her daughter, she says in the video posted Saturday, March 1.

“For those of you who don’t know, my name is Casey Anthony. My daughter is Caylee Anthony. My parents are George and Cindy Anthony. This is not about them. This is not in response to anything that they have said or done… The whole point of this is for me to begin to reintroduce myself.”

The 3-minute 25-second clip already racked up 2.3 million views—but don’t bother scrolling for reactions. Comments have been turned off.

Filming from inside her car for privacy reasons, Anthony, now 38, said she’s launching her advocacy platform to provide legal tools and resources for those in need.

She also hinted at personal attacks against people close to her, saying that “when necessary, people needed to step up—myself included.”

“As a proponent for the LGBTQ community, for our legal community, women’s rights, I feel that it’s important that I use this platform that was thrust upon me and now look at as a blessing as opposed to the curse that it has been since 2008,” Anthony said.

That year was when Caylee went missing outside of Orlando. Her remains were later found wrapped in duct tape and stuffed in a laundry bag.

After being acquitted of murder, Anthony famously became one of the most "hated moms in America," ABC News said at the time citing Gretl Plessinger, of the Florida Corrections Department.

Her Substack newsletter promises more to come, but for now, she’s staying tight-lipped about what exactly that will look like.
